The nearby San Jose California area has many research opportunities to delight family historians whether they have local roots or a more diverse ancestry. Collections range from various locales in the U.S. and other countries to record groups specific to Santa Clara County. We will discuss how to access collections in the California Room in San Jose Library, Heritage Pavilion at Santa Clara City Library, History San Jose, Santa Clara County Archives, Santa Clara Recorder, and Santa Clara Family History Center. Learn about databases and finding tools – such as “Early Settler Files,” and many more. Case studies will be included. Come join the tour!
