March 5, 2015 – Monthly Meeting: “A Review of RootsTech 2015”, by Bill Hannah, MoCoGenSo Member-At-Large

RootsTech has become the largest genealogy conference in the world. It is held each year in the middle of winter in Salt Lake City, Utah. This year’s session, Feb 12-14, 2015, is focused on “Celebrating Families”. The Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS) is also holding their annual conference at the same time in the same place!

RootsTech is always an exciting way to learn about genealogy, and because it is relatively close to the Monterey area, we usually have someone from our group who attends. This year, our very own Bill Hannah is attending and will share with us his experiences during the event. He will let us know what is new in the world of genealogy. Given that the lineup of Keynote speakers includes Laura Bush, Jenna (Bush) Hager and Donny Osmond, Bill’s talk should be lots of fun and full of good gossip! Don’t miss this MoCoGenSo meeting.

Doors open at 6:15 pm, the meeting starts at 7:00 pm. We’ll see you at the Family History Center, 1024 Noche Buena, Seaside, CA., left rear of building.
